TBH Pets — Exact Unlock Monsters, Bonuses and Best Farm Stages

The pet name is not always the monster you farm. Use this table to match pet bonus → required monster → fastest reported stage, then verify the counter in your client.

TBH Pets: farm the required monster, not the pet name

Pets are one of TBH’s most useful systems because the bonus is passive. The trap is searching for “Bat pet” and farming the wrong enemy. The pet table below separates the pet you receive from the monster you must defeat.

Farmable pets

| Pet | Passive bonus | Unlock requirement | Best reported farm | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Bat | +10% Common Chest Drop Chance Multiplier; +15% EXP Gain | Defeat 5,000 Bats | A1-7 City Outskirts Torment (~204/run) | | Watcher | +15% Gold Per Kill | Defeat 5,000 Giant Flies | A2-5 Scorching Dunes Torment (~228/run) | | Burning Skeleton | +10% Stage Boss Chest Drop Chance Multiplier | Defeat 5,000 Fire Elementals | A2-8 Sacred Tomb Torment (~120/run) | | Blue Golem | +15% Common Chest Drop Chance Multiplier | Defeat 5,000 Hell Golems | A3-6 Burning Ravine Torment (~138/run) | | Dark Spirit | +15% Stage Boss Chest Drop Chance Multiplier | Defeat 5,000 Ghosts | A3-4 Frozen Glacier Cavern Torment (~135/run) |

The “~per run” values are current database estimates, not promises. A lower difficulty with a faster, reliable clear can beat Torment if your team dies or takes too long.

Supporter Pack pets

The current database lists Sword, Butterfly, and Dragon as Supporter Pack unlocks rather than 5,000-kill farms:

| Pet | Listed bonus | | --- | --- | | Sword | +15% EXP Gain | | Butterfly | +10% Gold Per Kill | | Dragon | +20% Common Chest Drop Chance Multiplier, +15% Gold Per Kill, +20% EXP Gain |

Check the current Steam product page before buying a supporter item. Do not describe these as free drops.

How to farm a pet without wasting the session

  1. Open the pet screen and confirm the required monster.
  2. Choose the reported stage above, then lower the difficulty if it is not a stable clear.
  3. Leave the formation unchanged until the kill counter moves predictably.
  4. Compare kills per minute, not just kills per run.
  5. After unlocking, run the same stage once with the pet bonus active and record the result.

If the counter is not moving, you are either on the wrong monster, on a different stage than you think, or looking at stale data. The in-game counter wins over every web table.

Which pet should you chase first?

  • Gear sessions: Bat or Burning Skeleton, because chest-drop multipliers affect the loot loop.
  • Gold sessions: Watcher, because its bonus is per kill.
  • Leveling sessions: Bat or Sword, depending on whether the latter is available through the Supporter Pack.
  • Late-stage boss farming: Dark Spirit, if the current stage actually contains enough Ghosts per minute.

This is a use-case recommendation, not a universal tier list. The best pet is the one that improves the activity you are currently repeating.

Sources and evidence

Monster counts and bonuses are patch-sensitive. Verify the requirement in the pet panel before committing to a long farm.

Quick answers

How many kills unlock a farmable TBH pet?

The current community database lists 5,000 kills of the required monster for each farmable pet. Supporter Pack pets use a different unlock path.

Do TBH pet bonuses work when the pet is not deployed?

The current pet database describes the listed bonuses as passive. The formation display is not the same thing as the unlock requirement; verify the bonus in your own pet screen after a patch.
